GROWING UP OR HOW AN ADWORDS SPECIALIST IS BORN

I learned about Google AdWords 6 years ago when I was contacted by a “firm” in my capacity as marketing manager of a multinational company. They told me that the struggle with search engine optimisation was over and that they could get a first-place ranking for my website on Google Search for some thousand forints.

I was a bit skeptical as I had already spent several hundred thousand forints on search engine optimisation, with varying success. Nevertheless, I went for it, and the miracle did happen: the following week my advertisement was on the top position of the first page of Google.

It lasted for about one year and a half when, on a nice summer night, just finishing a major marketing campaign, I started to take an interest in AdWords. By that time, AdWords represented several hundred thousand forints in my budget so it was considered a major online marketing tool and budget item.

I started to study the interface intensively. I attended all training courses that were available in Hungary, passed an exam on several modules at Google, and I also learned some tricks from international AdWords gurus like Perry Marshall and Howie Jacobson. After the first half year of studying, 3 things became clear to me. Our campaign was badly neglected, there was a total chaos in advertisements and keywords and I paid huge sums for a single click or conversion while our ROI was less than 1 i.e. we were losing money on each and every new client.

I restructured the campaign completely, and managed to cut my conversion costs by 40% in 3 months. At this point, I also terminated our contract with the agency so that they do not waste our money any more. In the following six months I studied AdWords day and night, it became my hobby. It is astonishing what this system is capable of: Google knows better what I am going to do than I do. In 2012, I already achieved HUF 1 million savings for the firm in 12 months. Far more requests for offer at quarter of the previous budget and conversions at a fragment price…

THE TRAIN IS GAINING MOMENTUM

In the meantime, some of my friends who were also doing business learned about my success story and asked me to build similarly successful campaigns for them. Today, some of my customers acquire 80% of their new clientele and their income through Adwords. Now that is what I call an experience! Ever since I’ve been driven by the idea to make it possible for businesses to become more and more successful by using Google Adwords.

Slowly I came to realise that many small entrepreneurs did not have a sufficient budget for marketing, to hire an agent to build their campaign. I wanted to help those entrepreneurs and that is how our personalised training courses were developed. These training courses are unique on the market in that they provide insight into effective bidding strategies while they are tailored to your company and your customers.
